It was an incredible adventure. Pankaj accompanied us from Delhi itself, first by phone and then in person. The road to the village was long, but it was worth it. We saw how the local people live. We were invited into the house and fed. The hike in the mountains was very comfortable, because Pankaj asked us in advance and clarified several times what type of load we want.

As a result, we got an easy, but very picturesque trip through the mountains. In the meantime, we were relaxing in the village, showed us how the local holidays are held and talked about how the local people live. We are very grateful to him for such an attitude towards the guests.

In the Spring of 2023 I enjoyed a few days in a remote homestay overlooking Trishul and the Pindar Valley. Pankaj was an excellent guide we did a number of walks together to Dhakuri (Nanda Devi National Park) and down to the Pindari River, where glacial meltwater made for a very cold but invigorating swim. Pankaj was good company and set an easy pace along the paved tracks that wind through thickets of rhododendron trees. He is a very knowledgeable guide and I will definitely use him again next time I come to Uttarakhand.

We so enjoyed our holiday with you and have some very fond memories of the time spent with you especially around Supi and Jhuni. We have tots of tovely photographs to remtfid us of the wonderful experience.

No doubt it is getting colder up there in Supi and we expect there will be fewer guests for a while until the weather improves. It is very cold, wet and miserable here and the days are gloomy and dark-not much fun! However we’re both busy at work so it doesnt affect us too much. We hope that you have had some more English speaking guests since we. We enjoyed being your’guinea pig guests and our last memories are of the walkaway from Supi on our final morning in the pea soup’ mist!!!!
